Server Hardware

Redact Solutions servers are available to the following specification:

Unlike other providers we will not crowd lots of clients onto the servers. We provide a low client : server ratio. If the load on a server does rise - we will either upgrade the machine or bring in another machine to reduce the load.

Server Software

Our servers are hosted at the highly respected Global Switch facility at the heart of London's Docklands.

The Global Switch facility provides unsurpassed levels of security along with physical measures to protect the safety and reliability of services. State of the art gas-based fire suppression systems, based upon Very Early Smoke Detection Alarms to sense heat and smoke before you can even smell it. UPS Power Backup

All of our servers are plugged into a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). UPS's serve as an intermediate power supply in the event of a power failure to give us ample time to power up the backup generators.

Data Backups

Each night we backup our entire system onto another hard drive which means in the event of system failure, you should have not lost any files. We also keep daily, weekly and monthly mirrors of your data.

Network Monitoring

The critical services on all of our services are monitored redundantly: once by the servers themselves, and once by an external monitoring system. If a service fails, the server is aware of it within 120 seconds and automatically informs our technicians as well as attempting to restart the service itself. This double tiered system provides our customers with maximum service uptime and reliability.
