Find out moreKeep WordPress Up-to-date
WordPress is the most popular Content Management System (CMS) in the world. While there are a huge amount of resources available online to help you with specific topics, keeping your WordPress website code up-to-date can be time consuming.
Throughout the year there are many new updates for WordPress and the Plugins (extra functionality) your website uses. These add new features, keep up with the latest web standards and fix any bugs. While most of these updates are well tested and can be applied without any problems, sometimes issues can occur. If this happens your website can stop working.
For a low monthly fee we can keep your WordPress website updated for you and fix any issues that might occur with each update. We are also available to provide any help you need using your website or making changes to the design.

Support Time
This is the number of minutes of free support we offer per month. This can be used for website training, design changes, small functionality changes, bug fixes, or help writing content. Unused support time does not carry over each month, but extra support minutes per month are available and are charged at our standard hourly rate. Our regular maintenance activities such as WordPress and Plugin updates, and keeping your site secure, do not come out of support time.
Response Time
The maximum reponse time is the longest you might need to wait for us to get back to you. In practice most of the time you will get through to someone immediately over the phone or will get a response via email within the hour during office hours. We cannot guarantee how long it will take to fix a particular issue but we will try to do so as quickly as possible. However, we do prioritise clients with critical issues such as hacks or sites that are down over less urgent issues.
WordPress Updates
We will always try to keep your WordPress software as up-to-date as possible having first tested the latest version will work on your website. However, there may be times when the latest version may conflict with your theme or other Plugins that may require additional chargeable work. In this situation we will contact you in advance with the options available.
Plugin Updates
We will keep any free 3rd party Plugins on your website as up-to-date as possible, but for paid Plugins you will need to ensure you have an up-to-date licence. When we first start supporting your website we will let you know which paid Plugins your site is using and suggest good free alternatives if you wish to keep the costs down.
Theme Updates
If we developed your website theme we will always ensure it works with the latest version of WordPress and is compatible with your other Plugins. However, we will only update commercial themes when new updates are available and are compatible. Any work to fix issues in a commercial or custom theme will be chargeable work at our standard hourly rate.
Backup Options
Your hosting provider should be backing up your entire account daily or even hourly in case of critical failure. Most hosting providers also provide a Backup option in the control panel for you to take additional backups. We will also install a Backup Plugin in WordPress and advise you on a suitable backup policy for your website.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does my site need to be hosted with you?
No, although we will need access to your hosting control panel to be able to support your website. That said, we do offer a range of competitively priced web hosting packages that come with lots of features to help improve your website performance and our ability to better support you. We can also help you transfer your website from your existing web hosting provider.
Do you offer 24/7 technical support?
We do not. Our standard hours for telephone and email support are 9am – 5pm (UK time), Monday to Friday. However, our web hosting provider does offer 24 hour support 365 days a year. If your website is hosted with us, any issues related to your web site server will be investigated by the hosting team as quickly as possible at any time.
Is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) included?
We do not include any SEO work in our Maintenance plans. Properly optimising your website for the main search engines can take a lot of work and how much varies massively from one client to another depending on the products and services you offer via your website. So instead we offer a bespoke WordPress SEO service customised to your requirements.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my maintenance plan?
Yes of course. Simply contact us and we’ll sort it out for you.
Do you offer any discounts for multiple websites?
Yes we do. Please contact us for latest prices and information.
Is there a minimum contract period?
No. You are free to cancel at any time. However, we do not offer refunds if you have paid upfront for 12 months.
What are your payment options?
For Monthly Maintenance plans our preferred method is automatic billing and payment via Credit Card or PayPal. Alternatively we can invoice you via email for payment via Bank Transfer. We accept most UK Credit Cards.
